Before You Travel

Eligibility and Intentions (Niyyah)

  • You must be a practicing Muslim, physically and financially capable.

  • Women must travel with a Mahram (male guardian), unless in a group approved by Saudi authorities.

  • Perform sincere Niyyah (intention) to undertake Hajj for the sake of Allah.

Passport and Visa

  • Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months.

  • Apply for a Hajj Visa through an authorized travel agency like BanglaFly, approved by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Saudi Embassy.

Vaccinations & Health

  • Take mandatory vaccinations: Meningitis (ACYW-135), COVID-19 (if required), Polio.

  • Carry a copy of your vaccination certificate.

  • Bring a basic medical kit for minor illnesses.

Packing Essentials

  • Two sets of Ihram for men, modest clothing for women.

  • Comfortable sandals, unscented soap, water bottle, prayer mat, toiletries, umbrella, power bank.

  • Photocopies of documents: passport, visa, ID card.

During the Journey

✈️ Arrival in Saudi Arabia

  • Jeddah or Madinah Airport is your gateway.

  • Follow instructions from your Hajj group guide or BanglaFly representative.

🕋 Step-by-Step Rituals of Hajj

🕋 Day 1: 8th Dhul-Hijjah (Yaum al-Tarwiyah) – Arrival at Mina

  • Wear Ihram and make the Niyyah for Hajj.

  • Depart for Mina and stay overnight in tents.

  • Perform 5 daily prayers in congregation.

🕋 Day 2: 9th Dhul-Hijjah – Arafat

  • Travel to Arafat for the most important day.

  • Perform Wuquf (standing in prayer) from noon to sunset.

  • Listen to Khutbah and pray for forgiveness.

  • After sunset, depart for Muzdalifah (without Maghrib prayer).

🌌 Muzdalifah (Night of 9th Dhul-Hijjah)

  • Pray Maghrib and Isha together.

  • Collect 49–70 pebbles for Rami (stoning).

  • Rest overnight under the open sky.

🕋 Day 3: 10th Dhul-Hijjah (Eid al-Adha) – Mina

  • Perform Rami al-Jamarat (stoning of the largest pillar).

  • Sacrifice an animal (Qurbani).

  • Shave/trim your hair (men), clip hair (women).

  • Change out of Ihram and enter a semi-normal state (Tahalul).

🕋 Days 4–5: 11th–12th Dhul-Hijjah

  • Stay in Mina and continue stoning all three Jamarat each day after Zawal (noon).

  • You may leave after 12th if all rituals are completed.

🕋 Tawaf al-Ifadah

  • A key Hajj ritual done after returning to Makkah.

  • Perform 7 rounds of Tawaf and 2 Rakah of prayer behind Maqam Ibrahim.

  • Followed by Sa’i (walking between Safa and Marwah).

🕋 Farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wida)

  • Perform this final Tawaf before departing Makkah.

  • It is wajib (mandatory) for non-residents of Makkah.
